]]> Thu, 13 Oct 2011 00:00:00 GMT LEGAL NOTICE  All persons liable to pay PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES in the Town of Kent are required to return to the Assessor's office on or before November 1, 2011, a list of taxable personal property belonging to them on the first day of October 2011.  Assets include but are not limited to: manufacturing and industrial machinery and equipment; office fixtures, furniture, equipment and supplies, farm machinery and tools; horses and ponies; mechanic's tools; electronic data processing equipment; cables and conduits; unregistered motor vehicles and leased equipment.

Any business or individual required to return a list may obtain the proper form from the Kent Assessor's office if they do not receive a form in the mail.  Failure to receive a form by mail does not excuse a property owner from filing.

The Kent Volunteer Fire Department, the American Legion, and the Town of Kent will hold a ceremony at the firehouse on Sunday, September 11th, at 8:30 a.m. to remember those who died on 9-11-01.  The ceremony will last approximately 30 minutes and anyone who would like to say a few words is welcome to do so.
