SEPTEMBER IS HUNGER ACTION MONTH:  “GO ORANGE for Hunger Awareness!" During September, host a food drive! Be creative!! Share your efforts by snapping a photo and e-mailing a copy to socialservices@townofkentct.org. Your photo will be shared with the Connecticut Food Bank. Your efforts will help Kent Food Bank earn food credits towards purchasing food items.

Free Prescription Drug Card available to Kent residents

State law provides a reimbursement program for Connecticut renters who are elderly (65+), or totally disabled (18+ as defined by Social Security) whose incomes do not exceed certain limits.  The Renter's Rebate Program runs from May 15 to October 1.

CT ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: Even if you completed an application for this program in the past, you must re-apply each year. For further information or to make an appointment, please call Leah Pullaro, Director Kent Social Services, at 860-927-1586.  Be aware that updated income guidelines for this year’s program have not been posted yet.
